If you want some sad Riff Raff songs, this is where to find them. Jody Highroller, or should I say JODY HiGHROLLER, has put out some good emotional music. I’ve been a “real” Riff Raff fan since about 2012, I remember when he put out Neon Icon and how disappointed I was. It was too commmercial! Same thing with Peach Panther. Too commercial! But you know what, at the end of the day, he’s a businessman and entertainer at heart, and a musician second, so it makes sense that as his budget grows, his level of production and features would rise to the occasion.
I think everyone is a little more likeable when they’re still broke and humble, right? That’s just human nature. Do you guys remember the famous quote from American Gangster that Jay Z sampled for his song “Success”?
“Success. It’s got enemies, Frank. Lots of enemies. Your success took a shot at you, what are you gonna do now, how you gonna kill it. You gonna become unsuccessful? Frank, you can be successful and have enemies. Or you can be unsuccessful too, and have friends.” -Cattano
With that being said, obviously I’m still a Riff Raff fan.
